A lady on a newsgroup I belong to posted the following..

Little Michael is still hanging on and still requires our prayers for either a
 miracle recovery or a peaceful passing.  Many of you know he is the 6 year old
 from my son's daycare with leukemia whose bone marrow transplant failed.  Also
 my new man has a good friend newly diagnosed with Kidney cancer and we're still
 not sure of a prognosis.  More bad news, My cousin's 22 year old daughter just
 lost her fiance and the only father her 5 month old ever knew and is
 desperately in need of all the prayers she can get.  I know this is a lot and I
 am becoming overwhelmed with the sadness around me and my own continued bad
 back, which could threaten job prospects for the fall.  I am feeling conflicted
at the sadness so mixed up with the happiness in my life these days.  As uusual
 Johnny helps with repeated playing of "all this Joy" to remind me that "Such is
 Life", but I still depend on the kind words of my ng friends to help me

I recived an email that I thought appropriate to put here. The Colorado shootings were a terrible tragedy...My name is Jayson Martin from Littleton, Colorado, I would like for
anyone who reads this to please write their name down. I would like to
send prayers out to my friends who were in Columbine H.S. I would like
everyone to please say a prayer for the safety of everyone who was
involved in this terrible tragedy. it is something that has hurt me
today as well as my friends, I'm grateful for my safety and their
safety. Please Forward this to as many people as you can, let us all
